Our final competition of the year was a Virginia State Championship and was held at the Shenandoah County Fairgrounds in Woodstock, Virginia. It was late October and the weather had started turning cold once again. The temperature was down around 40 degrees at night which let us know that the end of barbecue season was near. We are happy to report that all of our hard work finally paid off a little for the 2011 competition season. The over night cooking went very well and we had no problems and it was time to just wait and see what the judges have to say. Unfortunatly we were on a skeleton crew this weekend and did not take any pictures. I was very happy with the results getting 3 calls and look forward to the 2012 competition season, perhaps it will be the year we finally qualify for the world championship!
